What kind of social space does a performance situation carry? In “I pretend that you speak” a set of questions on reciprocity, dependency and power unfolds. Overlapping imagination and concreteness, the performance revolve relations between spectator and spectator and performer and spectator. When the performer takes the role of a moderator and the audience gets to play “an audience” a kind of dance occurs of collective listening, attention, stillness and actions.

With and by Tove Salmgren, and the audience. Performed at the festival “Another fine selection”, MDT (2014), Glasgow International festival, The Pipe factory (2014), Revolve Performing Art Days (2016).
