The Blob invades Kunsthall Trondheim and invites the audience to a playful, choreographic full body guided tour of the exhibition this is a political (painting). The Blob blobs Kunsthall Trondheim as well as the guided tour per se by questioning norms and hierarchies in the given situation. Blobbing could be seen as a choreography rearranging attention, time, space and more.
The Blob is this time channeled through Anna Efraimsson and Tove Salmgren or vice versa. Blobbing was previously done at International Deleuze Conference in Stockholm 2015 and at Promise of Monsters in Stavanger 2016. Anna Efraimsson runs The Blob since 2014.
The Blob is an elastic boneless alter ego/artist/ body curating, initiating and producing art and culture with a special interest in choreography. It creates forms and projects that stand alone or “blob on” to different structures through collaboration. It is inspired by the character Barbapapa and the 1950’s horror film The Blob and borrows characteristics from these blobs.
